when is your shipping cutoff?  

  • while we will ship until 12/21, we recommend ordering by 12/15 for best chances of christmas delivery. we do not guarantee any christmas delivery this year. 

how long will my order take? 

  • All orders placed from 12/20/24- 1/2/24 will resume shipping in the new year, as we are taking a break to spend time with our loved ones + recharge. 

why is shipping so expensive?

  • the shipping costs on our website reflect the cost UPS charges us to ship. we do not add any extra costs to this number such as handling fees or any other charges. when we offer "free shipping" UPS still charges us to ship your package, but we cover the costs for you. please understand that we cannot cover the shipping cost on every order, but will always cover shipping on domestic orders of $75+ or free local pickup for the nashville area

can i shop in person? 

  • yes! our warehouse has open shopping hours mon-wednesday 9-3 (thursday + friday by appointment only) until 12/21

what is the difference between the mini, standard + large size? 

  • the mini candle is perfect for testing a new scent, travel, or small spaces such as your desk or guest bathroom. burn time approx. 20-25 hours (net wt: 3.5 oz // 2.25 in x 2.75 in)
  • the standard candle is our most popular size + is best suited for coffee tables, nightstands, countertops - basically everywhere! burn time approx. 40-50 hours (net wt: 7.5 oz // 2.75 in x 3.75 in)
  • the large candles are our biggest size with a double wick and has the strongest hot throw. burn time approx. 70-80 hours (net wt: 12.5 oz // 3.5 in x 3.8 in)

how long do your candles burn?

following proper candle care, our large sizes burn for approximately 70-80 hours, our standard sizes burn for approximately 40-50 hours + the mini sizes burn for approximately 20-25 hours

how do I properly take care of my candle?

  • trim your wick! Always trim your wick to ¼” before lighting (we recommend using a wick trimmer).
  • allow the wax to melt to the edges of your jar to prevent your candle from tunneling. this is especially important for your first burn, as soy wax has “memory” + will follow this pattern for the following burns. 
  • do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time
  • stop burning your candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains in the container

are your candles vegan friendly?

yes! we use American-grown soy wax, non-toxic fragrance oils infused with essential oils (which are never, ever tested on animals!), lead-free cotton wicks, + eco-friendly dyes!

what is soy wax + what are the benefits?

soy wax is derived from soybeans which is a non-toxic, biodegradable, carbon neutral + a renewable, sustainable resource. Many candle are made from paraffin wax which is petroleum based + contains many different carcinogens.
due to soy wax's plant based nature, it will burn cleaner, cooler, slower and more evenly.

do you have a jar recycling program?

we do not have a recycling program at this time. to recycle or reuse your jar, simply use a spoon to scoop out the remaining wax + wick tab - then use dish soap + warm water to finish cleaning out your jar!

what is your return + exchange policy?

we know that a candle is a difficult purchase to make online. we are so confident that you will love your gold + ivy candle that if you don’t love it, send it back and we will refund your purchase 100%. 

Returns are accepted within 2 weeks of receiving your order on all items that are unburned, undamaged, and in the original packaging. If you decide to return an item, email us at hello@goldandivy.com with your order number and we will send you shipping instructions to return your item. Purchases of sales items, seconds, and sample sets excluded. Refunds currently only open for U.S.A. and retail orders, wholesale does not apply.

what if my candles arrive broken?

first off, we're SO sorry that happened. please know we try our best to package candles safely, however, shipping isn't the kindest to our fragile candles. please email us at  hello@goldandivy.com a picture of your broken candle with your order number, and we will help as best possible.

what's your current shipping time?

Our retail processing time is typrically 2-3 business days.
