Hello!

Follow these instructions to make your DIY candle kit. You can either use the microwave or stove top method. I recommend the microwave method, as it is much quicker & easier, but choose whichever suits you best! Congratulations & have fun!

Microwave // Step 1

Remove a wick stickum from the paper sheet and place the stickum on the bottom of the wick. Remove the second paper backing from the stickum on the wick tab and place the wick in the center of the candle tin.

Step 3

Heat wax in microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds or until wax is completely melted. Stir using the wooden stir stick to help dissolved wax.

Important! Using a microwave to melt wax requires extra safety precautions.

Keep a careful watch while heating wax in the microwave and Do Not walk away.

Melting wax typically takes 2 - 3 minutes, but can vary depending on microwave.

Be careful not to over heat wax once it liquifies.

Container and melted wax will be hot! Use a mitt or towel with caution when removing melted wax from microwave.

Immediately after removing the melted wax from the microwave, carefully pour the bottle of fragrance oil into the wax.

Step 5

Stir wax slowly for 2 minutes using the wooden stir stick. This will insure that the fragrance is thoroughly mixed in and will also help cool the wax for pouring. Try not to add air bubbles to the wax when stirring.

Wait about 10 - 15 minutes for wax to cool.

* Important!  If wax is poured too hot, the wick stickum will lose adhesion, and pull off from the tin.

Step 6

Carefully pour the melted wax into prepared tin to about 1/4 of a inch from the top of the tin (where you see the indented line near the lid)

Step 7

Place the wick through the center, metal ring of the clothes pin. Pull wick taut and gently bend the wick down & to a side. This will keep the wick straight and centered while the candle is cooling.

Step 8

While mug or pyrex container is still warm, wipe off any extra wax with a dry paper towel. Then follow with another paper towel and rubbing alcohol to clean the container.

Do not pour leftover wax down the sink.

Once the container is free of wax, feel free to hand wash with warm water & dish soap, or put in your dishwasher.

Add the warning label to the bottom of each tin, and the scent labels to the lid of each tin.

Step 5

Using a mitt or towel, carefully remove the wax pot from the larger sauce pan & turn off the heat source.

Immediately add the fragrance oil into the melted wax, and stir wax slowly for 2 minutes using the wooden stir stick.

If you wish to transfer the melted wax into a smaller container, such as a pyrex cup, before pouring, you may do so!

It may me difficult to pour the wax from a large pot.
